MAFSM to Award Local Official Scholarships for the 2026 ASFPM Conference
If you’ve been wanting to attend the premiere floodplain management conference in the US, here’s your opportunity to maximize your training and travel funds by taking advantage of a scholarship to attend the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) annual conference. The Maryland Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers (MAFSM) will be sponsoring up to three in-person registrations to the ASFPM conference for Maryland public sector-employed floodplain and stormwater management professionals.
Celebrating 50 years of floodplain management, the 2026 ASFPM conference will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from May 31 – June 4. Abstracts for the conference are due October 31, 2025, and additional information regarding conference program, schedule, and logistics can be found on the ASFPM website at https://www.floods.org/conference/.
The ASFPM conference is a great opportunity to share experiences, build relationships, learn from other floodplain management professionals, and further the representation of Maryland’s ASFPM chapter! CFMs can earn CEC credits through numerous presentations and workshops presented throughout the week.
