The Conowingo Dam stretches across scenic Susquehanna River and generates 512,000 kilowatts of electricity. It’s is one of the largest plants of its kind in the US.  On April 29, 2023, a joint in-person event hosted by the Maryland Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers and the Pennsylvania Association of Floodplain Managers included a tour of the dam and several presentations by floodplain and stormwater management professionals.  ASFPM pre-approved 4 CECs for CFMs for attending the event.
